This is a great opportunity for an outstanding Senior Designer to join our team as a maternity cover.

Tate Design Studio manages design, print production and elements of digital production for all four Tate galleries across a wide range of departments including Marketing, Membership, Curatorial, Interpretation, Visitor Communications, Learning, Fundraising, and Tate Eats.

As part of this, the Studio also manages editorial design and print publication for Tate Etc., Europe’s largest arts magazine which is published 3 times per year and distributed to Members and sold on newsstands. As Senior Designer you will lead on delivering high-quality design and art direction for that magazine. You will ensure that all output is produced on time, to budget, to a high standard, and in accordance with Tate’s brand guidelines.

Reporting to the Head of Design, as well as delivering work for Tate Etc. magazine, you will also support the Studio with other design work from across Tate, including advertising creative, publications, on-site signage, and visitor resources.

Your degree in Graphic Design or equivalent will be supported by extensive design and print experience in publishing. This will have given you an advanced knowledge of Adobe’s Creative Suite Programmes, and knowledge of production processes. You’ll also be capable of working creatively and conceptually within the Tate.

This position is offered on a temporary contract until 27 January 2023.
