Reference:TG3033
Opportunity type:Fixed-term, Full-time
Working hours:36 hours per week
Salary:£20,755 per annum
Location:London
Closing date:11 September 2022 at midnight
You’ll love this role if you like art; enjoy making things with your hands; want to learn new skills; if you pay attention to detail; and aren’t afraid to ask when you don’t know something. This is a fixed term role for 24 months.
The role is largely practical, though you’ll need to work with computers and deal with numbers, for example when taking accurate measurements. You’ll learn about different artists’ materials, share knowledge, and give and receive feedback. You’ll receive training in a wide range of skills, including mounting and framing works of art and installing and de-installing them at exhibition venues. You’ll learn how to handle tools, equipment and machinery, and gain the confidence to work alongside other conservation technicians in museums and galleries.
If you’d like to know more, please attend our online open event on Wednesday
24th August from
1-2pm via the following zoom link
here. We’ll give a short presentation, with time for questions afterwards.
