This is an exciting opportunity to join the Conservation Science and Preventive team within the Conservation Department at one of the world’s leading art institutions. Providing preventive conservation support for the Collection, including displays and exhibitions programme across sites, new acquisitions and supporting loans out and international touring, with a primary focus on environmental monitoring and IPM across Tate Britain and Tate St Ives, liaising with the Estates team, and advising on light levels across historic, modern and contemporary artworks.

You will have a recognised qualification, or equivalent, in Preventive Conservation and demonstrable practical experience in supporting exhibition, display, loan and acquisition programme strands within a complex, dynamic environment. It is essential you are experienced in environmental monitoring and building management systems as well as data analysis, risk management and report writing. You will also have knowledge of lighting within a museum environment, Integrated Pest Management and an understanding of long-term collection care challenges, with excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills. Good time management and end-user technology skills are required, and experience of working in a museum environment is desirable.
