Tate’s vision is to be the most artistically adventurous and culturally inclusive global art museum, enabling our visitors to explore, experience and enjoy every moment of their visit to our galleries.

As an ambassador for Tate, you will make sure we do just that!

As a Visitor Engagement Assistant, you will provide our visitors with a safe, secure and memorable experience. Whether delivering a short talk or providing directions, you will support a diverse range of audiences to get the most from their visit, helping them to engage with our Collection whilst supporting our mission to build Tate’s reach, revenue, and reputation.

You will bring a passion for delivering great customer service, ensuring that Tate’s audiences feel welcome, whether they’re a first-time visitor or a long-standing Member. Joining a well-established and knowledgeable team, you will have a collaborative approach and be able to resolve and respond to queries and feedback independently.

You will also have a keen eye for detail, playing a crucial role in maintaining the security of our Collection and providing a safe and welcoming environment for all.

We have a number of casual positions available. The purpose of these positions is to provide flexible cover as required and therefore working hours will vary. Casual work may be offered on any day of the week including Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. There will also be the opportunity to work evening events. Successful applicants must be able to provide regular availability so that knowledge of procedures and the programme is kept current. The services provided in this role to Tate are on an ad hoc and casual basis. This means that while we will try to give as much notice as possible when offering work, we are under no obligation to provide such work, nor are casual workers under any obligation to accept the work.

The interview process will be held at Tate Liverpool on the 23 or 24 January 2023. If you are unable to attend on these dates, please indicate this on your application.
