Tate’s vision is to serve as artistically adventurous and culturally inclusive art museums for the UK and the world. We deliver this through activities in our four galleries across the UK, our digital platforms and collaborations with our national and international partners. At the heart of Tate is our collection of art, which includes British art from the 16th century to the present day, and international modern art from 1900 to the present day.
The Directorate, Tate Modern is part of the Tate Modern Division and is responsible for the organisational management and business development of Tate Modern including conceiving and delivering the programme of exhibitions, commissions, collection displays and live and film programmes, as well as responsibility and sign off for acquisitions of international art.
You will be a key member of the Tate Modern Directorate undertaking research as required to support the Director, Tate Modern and assisting in the preparation of reports, lectures, presentations, articles, interviews and speeches which will include spending time in the Tate Library & Archive. You will also provide essential administrative support in all aspects of departmental and project administration relating to the Directorate, Tate Modern.
A capable, competent administrator, with excellent research experience, your skills are well-honed thanks to time spent in a busy office. You’re highly computer literate, proactive, flexible and at your best in busy team environment. Communicative with colleagues at every level, you’re capable of producing written work at the highest of standards and utterly unflappable, even when deadlines are tight.
