Tate is looking for an experienced conservator of contemporary art to join the vibrant Paper and Photographs Conservation team, to work on Tate’s diverse historic, modern and contemporary collection. The role is focused on acquisitions, exhibitions, care and conservation of historical, modern and digital photographs and prints.

We are looking for someone with a professional qualification in the conservation of photographs and demonstrable practical experience treating a broad range of artworks, who enjoys being creative, pragmatic, testing out new ideas, providing solutions and collaborating with colleagues. Day-to-day, you will be assessing, documenting, researching and treating works of art within Tate’s Collection as well as providing specialist advice for storage, packing and installation of works of art. You’ll also be an advocate for conservation internally at Tate, and to external specialist and non-specialist audiences.
