Tate Digital is looking to recruit a Quality Assurance (QA) Tester. Reporting to the Digital Project Manager, the QA Tester will support the digital product team and the wider Digital department in the delivery of compelling digital projects and products.
Tate Digital develops audience-centred digital experiences that span online, gallery and commerce. We are highly collaborative, working across the organisation to develop and deliver digital features designed to provide wide access to, and engaging experiences with, Tate’s collection.
In this role, you’ll be working within an agile / scrum-ish environment with stand-ups, demo’s, retros, and sprint planning. As QA Tester, you’ll be responsible for ensuring Tate’s digital products are robust, iterable, and delivered to Tate standards.
You’ll advocate for users as you develop effective manual test plans, strategies and analyses. You’ll be committed to accuracy. You’ll have an approach to testing that includes lateral thinking, while being able to pragmatically tackle any problems found. You’ll be able to explain your findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of test software and QA methodology, and a good understanding of usability and accessibility issues for websites and other digital product, including the W3C accessibility standards and website best practice. Your significant enthusiasm for all things digital, and your experience of working with agile, user-centred design methodologies, will inform your ability to translate both user and business needs into first-class user experiences.
