The Curatorial Department, Tate Modern is responsible for the delivery of exhibitions, collection displays, live performances and film programmes, ensuring the highest standard of content and delivery of this programme. It is also responsible for building the modern international aspect of Tate’s collections. You will be an important part of this process and provide invaluable administrative support to the displays programme and the acquisition of international art.

Whether you’re acting as the team’s first point of contact for phone, email or postal queries, preparing presentations, uploading information onto Tate’s object database, or making travel arrangements for the team, your days will be busy and interesting. You will undertake numerous administrative tasks, setting up and minuting meetings and working with budgets and financial software.

A capable, competent administrator, your skills are well-honed thanks to time spent in a busy office. The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to all activities and perform well in a busy team environment. You will have a high degree of computer literacy with a willingness to undergo training in the use of the specific applications used at Tate. With excellent communications with colleagues at every level, you will be capable of producing written work at the highest of standards as well as remaining calm under pressure.
