Working hours:21 hours a week
Salary:£13.43 per hour, plus great benefits
Location:London - Tate Modern, Bankside
Closing date:18 August 2019 at midnight
We require an enthusiastic Retail Team Manager for the shops at Tate Modern. You will be required to work every weekend including Monday or Tuesday on a rotational basis. You will be responsible for opening and closing the shops, and supervising daily operations. Occasionally you will be required to deputise for the Sales Managers, so at least six months experience at senior sales or supervisory level, ideally gained in the heritage sector or a high profile retailer is important.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, with proven experience of leading teams and the ability to delegate to Retail Assistants, and communicate confidently at all levels. You must be passionate about raising revenue for Tate, be an ambassador for the brand and demonstrate exemplary behaviour in all areas of your job, being a role model to staff and a support to management.
The successful candidate will be able to work effectively, independent of supervision, be self-motivated and a proven problem-solver. We are looking for someone who is flexible, resourceful and loves a challenge. You will be able to inspire and motivate teams to provide great customer service, and have the ability to oversee seven busy shops when acting as duty manager on a rota basis.
You will need to be able to work early mornings and late nights, and work every weekend. You must have had exposure to a wide range of products from fast moving pocket money goods, to limited edition and high-end items, and be a confident visual merchandiser. If you are passionate about leading a team to deliver exceptional customer service and to up-hold shop floor standards then we’d love to hear from you.
We offer great benefits, staff training, performance and service awards, great discounts in our shops and catering outlets, Employee Assistance Program, Cycle scheme and free entry to exhibitions for our employees and their friends and family.
Interviews will be conducted on the 21st and 22nd of August.
As a member of the Disability Confident Scheme, we interview all disabled applicants who meet the essential criteria for a job vacancy.
Our jobs are like our galleries, open to all.
