Tate is looking for an experienced Paper Conservator to join the vibrant Paper and Photographs Conservation team, to work on Tate’s diverse historic, modern and contemporary collection. The post is focused on national and international loans out, and Tate St Ives exhibitions and displays. This role will also require the ability to work flexibly across Tate’s programme.

We are looking for someone with a professional qualification in the conservation of works of art on paper or demonstrable practical experience treating a broad range of artworks, who enjoys being creative, pragmatic, testing out new ideas, providing solutions and collaborating with colleagues. Day-to-day, you will be assessing, documenting and treating works of art within Tate’s Collection as well as providing specialist advice for loan, storage, packing, transport and installation of works of art.

For this exciting opportunity, effective communication is essential, as well as excellent planning and time management, computer literacy and the ability to undertake national and international travel.
