This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communicator with a passion for promoting public involvement in the arts to work at one of the largest galleries of modern and contemporary art outside London.
Working as part of the Audiences team and with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll be responsible for generating high quality and innovative interpretation in a range of different forms that help diverse audiences engage with our busy and varied programme. You’ll be co-authoring, commissioning, editing and co-ordinating production of interpretation. The role calls for strong copywriting skills with a keen eye for detail, coupled with excellent interpersonal skills that enable you to work effectively and confidently at all levels.
Educated to degree level (or the equivalent level of knowledge and thinking gained through experience), you’ll have substantial experience of writing and copy-editing in a range of media. With a passion for culture and museums and their educational role, you’ll have up to date knowledge of web technologies and how people use them. This, combined with your project management skills and ability to work collaboratively, will help you succeed in this varied and interesting role.
