Tate’s extensive and ambitious programme of loans across the world supports our mission to help people to understand and enjoy art. Our aims are to increase public access to the collection and reach new audiences, contribute to distinctive exhibitions and public programmes in Britain and internationally, promote British art abroad, support artists and foster a spirit of collaboration and exchange between museums and galleries.

As Collection Registrar (Loans) you will be part of the Collection Management team and involved in the loans process from start to finish. You will spend varied days co-ordinating and documenting the movement and installation of art works from our collections, prioritising their care.

To be successful in this role you will have significant experience of registrarial work with a museum collection, including working to national/international museum standards for transportation, packing, handling and environmental requirements. You will have a good knowledge of commercial insurance and indemnity policies- particularly British government indemnity. You will also need to display project management, organisation and planning skills.

With a flexible approach and the ability to work well under pressure you will be able to meet deadlines whilst retaining excellent attention to detail. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will also mean that you communicate diplomatically and effectively at all levels, both internally and with external contacts.


This position is offered on a fixed-term contract until 14 September 2025.
