We are looking for an Administration Manager to join our Retail London Team.
You will be responsible for managing the people administration of the retail team, ensuring procedural compliance, maintaining accurate records and sharing information across the retail team using a variety of channels. You will be people focused, organised and able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be flexible, creative and adaptable in your leadership approach and proactive in identifying areas for operational improvement and implementing solutions to improve efficiency while embodying Tate’s values and encouraging equality, diversity and inclusivity. In addition to managing the administration of the retail team you will also manage a team of zero hours retail assistants, monitoring their training needs and keeping them informed of any changes or news in the department between their shifts.
This role is four days a week, reporting to the Trading Support Manager. You will work across Tate Modern and Tate Britain on a fixed rota basis which will include working a weekend day and some early morning shifts.
What you will bring to the team:
- Experience in an administrative role at supervisory or management level
- Technically proficient: proven capability with the use of Microsoft 365 applications
- Ability to motivate and manage a team of casual zero-hours staff
- Sets standards of self-discipline with regard to presentation, time management and attendance, encouraging team to do the same
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively and positively at all levels
- A flexible and proactive approach to work with strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload and work accurately under pressure to meet deadline
- Resilience, openness to change and ability to think creatively
- Demonstrate good planning and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of colleagues and treat all colleagues with dignity and respect
- A passion for and commitment to the work of Tate
- Ability to work flexibly on a rota pattern, including working weekends, public holidays, and early morning or late evening shifts
