This is a new opportunity to join Collection Management department of one of the world’s leading art institutions.
We are seeking an Assistant Collection Registrar to work on our 3-year Storage Project and medium-term Storage Programme for Tate’s collection.
This role will play a key part in organising collection moves between storage sites to optimise storage capacity and maintain operations in stores, it sits within the Storage team of Tate Collection Management Department and Collection Care Division. This is a highly collaborative role with a wide reach across the division, touching on Tate wide programmes and collection care. You will report to Storage Manage, with close supervision and support by Collection Registrar, Acquisitions and Long Loans.
It is essential to have good understanding of collection management in storage facilitates. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate practical experience of working with collection management databases and organising artwork movements between storage areas. You will need to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure. You will also need demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work flexibly as a team in a big division.
This position is offered on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2027.
