The Trading Support Manager (retail) is an integral part of the Retail Leadership team, they ensure the smooth operational running of Tate’s retail outlets in London and work with the team to deliver the strategic aims of the department. You will champion the empowerment of our teams and elevate customer experience, you will lead by example in embodying Tate’s values, and be an advocate for inclusivity and diversity.You will work collaboratively across the organisation to deliver the strategic aims of our department through three key channels – people, customer, profit. You will ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time. Empower colleagues to deliver exceptional customer experience by ensuring they have access to the tools and resources that they need. You will drive revenue generation, working with the Retail Management team to maximise commercial opportunities.
About the role:
- This is part time (four days per week), fixed term, role, reporting to the Head of Retail
- You will have line management responsibility for several Floor Managers based across the London sites
- You will be based in London primarily working across Tate Modern and Tate Britain with occasional project work at our regional sites
- You will be flexible and available to work weekends, early mornings, and evening shifts
Our ideal candidate will have:
- You are an expert in retail operations, you know your KPIs from your POs and you are the one your colleagues go to when they need help
- Communication skills are your expertise, you regularly and successfully work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple teams
- You are an experienced manager who can lead, motivate, and empower, large and diverse teams
- You are passionate about developing your team and proactively provide opportunities for learning and development
- You are able to prioritize deadlines, work unsupervised, make decisions independently and work across multiple projects simultaneously
- You have proven project management and organisational skills, and are confident in forward planning as well demonstrating flexibility and responding to change
- You are a creative thinker and problem solver, able to work in a dynamic environment and to deliver against tight deadlines
- You are technically proficient with an understanding of commercial systems, reporting software and Microsoft Office suite
