The Engagement and Events team is an important function within the Development (fundraising) department and works collaboratively across the organisation to deliver a programme of events to support both Tate’s engagement and fundraising objectives.

This crucial role will work with the Director of Development and senior Tate colleagues to lead and deliver a creative and exceptional approach to stakeholder engagement and an impactful events programme including exhibition openings, fundraising events, collection artists’ events and international trips and occasions. You will develop and implement strategies to engage and influence key stakeholders, raise awareness of the mission and work of Tate, and support active fundraising.

You’ll have a successful, personal track record of significant event planning and delivery and stakeholder engagement in an organisation of comparable complexity to Tate. You will have the ability to foster an agile, explorative, and entrepreneurial approach to the work of the team and demonstrable experience of embedding effective project management to support the delivery of a varied programme of activities. Your strong budget management and financial planning skills, together with exceptional resourcefulness and creativity will enable you to innovate and work collaboratively with others to turn strategy into action and achieve objectives. You will also have strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team to meet ambitious targets.
