Tate Digital champions art and artists by creating accessible and diverse online experiences. We are an audience-first team who are responsible for Tate’s digital strategy, aiming to ensure Tate remains a leading digital presence in the art world and beyond.

Our digital product team manages the ongoing development of our sector-leading website at www.tate.org.uk, visited by over 25 million people a year and providing not just information on our galleries, exhibitions and events, but also our collection of art, our archives, learning and research material, films and videos, kids and schools activities, and much more. It is a vital part of Tate’s activities, supporting our mission to increase the enjoyment and understanding of art, and reflecting our aspiration to make art available to everyone, no matter who or where they are.

In this role you will be responsible for the success and growth of our website and of our wider estate of public-facing digital products. A highly experienced product manager, you will work alongside other senior members of our digital team to help define our product strategy and roadmap, and you will identify and track the OKRs and KPIs which measure our success. You’ll also have a deep knowledge of UX principles and an eye for fantastic design, as in this role you’ll work with our digital product designer to own the design standards for Tate’s digital products.

We work across the entire organisation, talking to everyone about their objectives and how we can support them, balancing these against visitor and business needs, and building amazing digital products to turn ideas into reality, so you will need first-rate communication and stakeholder management skills alongside your product and UX experience.

You will provide leadership, management and development to our team of product managers, designers and analysts, offering mentorship and support, and challenging them to create, support and continuously improve our digital products and services to be the best they can be.

Working with some fantastic colleagues, you will be involved in both BAU work and ad hoc projects, spanning our gallery, retail and catering operations to ensure a joined-up approach to our digital operations. While we will challenge you to grow your skills and take on new responsibilities, we will also make sure we support you at every step along the way.

Tate is a creative, diverse, welcoming environment full of passionate and dedicated people. This is a unique opportunity to join us and help shape the future of one of the world’s leading arts organisations.
