The Development Major Gifts team is responsible for Programmes, Strategic Projects, Public Sector and Legacy fundraising as well as best in class stewardship of high-level supporters and prospects.

You will lead the Major Gifts fundraising team, developing and implementing the strategy for Programmes, Strategic Projects, Legacy and Public Sector fundraising to solicit principal gifts to meet ambitious income targets while playing an active fundraising role across a pool of high-value supporters and prospects.

You’ll have significant senior management experience, with a proven track record of generating ambitious income targets alongside a proven track record of personally securing major levels of funding. Your expertise in leading and motivating a high-performing team will ensure fundraising success and the highest standards of relationship management and supporter stewardship. Your demonstrable experience of project and financial management will allow you to drive, track and report performance against targets. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to negotiate effectively with multiple decision makers and build productive working relationships across the organisation. Your creative, innovative and proactive approach will allow you to communicate a compelling case for support to build productive supporter relationships and you will ensure that principles of equality and diversity are applied and promoted through the work of the team.
